Finally. After like 2 months of learning css, 4 months of brainstorming, and like five hours of straight coding, I finally have a working site that I like the look of.
Sadly, this does not mean I am finished. On the contrary, I am just getting started. Frankly, going back and editing the "next post" icon in the previous post, as well as adding this post in my blog list and the "recent posts" section on the homepage (which I just realized I havent even made) is already incredibly tedious, and is partially what prevented my from using this blog in the past. Because of this, I will probably brush up on my javascript and create something that fills those out for me. I don't really know how to make js work with html, and especially not on a site like neocities, but it will be a fun little challenge.
On top of all this, I also plan on continually tweaking the css of the site until I think it's perfect, so I'm not even done there. Hell even as I was writing that last sentence, I discovered that my "emphasis" tag made the text bright green for some reason. So hopefully I figure that out and fix it soon.
To summarize, while it may not look like too much at the moment, I'm proud of my little site, and I'm very excited to keep improving it. I look forward to seeing how it improves.
